New Professionals Program

Applications are closed for 2013

Are you a relatively new SAS user in the work world?  Are you interested in connecting with other SAS users and enhancing your skills?

The NorthEast SAS Users Group (NESUG) Conference is an educational event that encourages knowledge sharing among SAS users.  With support from SAS, NESUG is pleased to offer a limited number of New Professional grants to selected users who have been using SAS in the workplace for less than three years and would not otherwise be able to attend NESUG 2013 in Burlington, Vermont.

Those selected as New Professional grant recipients will enjoy complimentary registration for NESUG 2013.  This includes admission to Opening Session and dinner on September 8, all paper and poster presentations and workshops on September 9 – 11, breaks and social events open to all attendees, plus attendance at an additional pre-conference workshop on September 7 or 8.  New Professional applicants are encouraged to submit a paper or poster proposal (see Call for Presentations).  Travel and accommodation expenses are not covered by the grant and will be the responsibility of the recipient or their employer.

Criteria for New Professional grants include:

  • Online submission of a complete application by May 6
  • Employment, using SAS as a part of your work, for less than 3 years at the time of application and at the time of conference (September 2013)
  • Commitment to volunteer at NESUG for ½ day during the conference.

NESUG is an all-volunteer organization made up of SAS users.  We expect that our scholarship recipients will volunteer at least ½ day of their time during the conference to assist NESUG, as many of our attendees do.  Volunteering is a great way to meet other SAS users and contribute to the success of the conference.

Acceptance will be communicated via email by June 15.

For more information, please contact NESUG’s New Professional Program Co-ordinator.

Applications have closed for 2013, so check back in 2014.
